TSJS turns 4

Thesis meaning: illustrating a new point view about Soweto & street culture. There was nothing like it when it started & that marked a new revolution in street culture era! Now its home to all those who envision themselves different & unique. The 5th of August will be celebrating with The Muffinz. They are a five-musician band with a fresh outlook on soul. Making it eclectic; therefore naming what they do Eclectric Soul Trip. They going to be gracing Thesis before flying off to London. Also on the stage is the energy driven reggae group Tidal Waves. One of the greatest bands in SA. They were the in house band for the SAMAs & they were the official band for Ziggy Marley when he was in SA! Mixed with the TSJS atmosphere: these two bands are going to make this birthday celebration special. In commemoration to “Women’s Month” in August. We have Dj duo: the 2 beautiful ladies from Doepelganger on the decks. Famously known for spinning at cold turkey in Cape Town. As per TSJS protocol: be different & fresh; it’s exactly how they sound when they play. Then we have Jimmy “Fckn” Fingers! Very experimental jockey. He likes dwelling in to funk, breaks & soul. He is a very unpredictable weirdo (in the good sense of the word). Dj 1D : co founder & creative director of Loxion Kulca! Yes, he is a Dj too & he is very good actually. What people like about him is said to be his track selection. Durban born P-kuttah is one of the most established hip –hop dj in SA; he was a finalist “Dj of the Year” for Hype Magazine & D.C shoes ambassador. He’ll be spinning a jam or 2 at the birthday celebration. Finally resident dj Wireless G is known for his eclectic style of play, representing the true spirit of the Jams. He can jump from soul to hip-hop to funk to Kwaito if he wants. People are always jumping & dancing when he’s on the decks. The Jam will be hot with best line up it ever had in the 3 years of existence. It will be held at its usual venue: the Thesis Lifestyle Space in Mofolo, Soweto. When you there be sure to step inside the Concept Store to feed your fashion appetite. R40 gets you in. Food & drinks will be sold. See you there…
